West Ham secured their Premier League status with a 2-0 win at Leicester in May but despite nine new players they are enduring a poor start and arrive for the Saturday evening game after two successive defeats after showing signs of life with wins over Everton, Manchester United and a draw with Chelsea. Claude Puel this week celebrated 12 months in charge at Leicester but his team are in a similar situation and a defeat would make it three in succession, not achieved since Claudio Ranieri had five in a row and was sacked in February 2017.
